While some may find a cancer support group sponsored by a medical center or church group to be helpful, others who don’t prefer that approach need some type of support system, either family or friends, who can assist with researching therapy options, attending important meetings between the medical team and the cancer patient, and providing listening, love, and guidance assistance as needed.
