Part I - Overview of the Cancer Industry
         f.  Importance of Holistic Approach to Cancer Treatment Success

According to published reports, many people can develop pre-cancerous tissue and if one’s immune system is strong, this cancer can be held in remission.  However, it is often following a traumatic event (i.e. accident, divorce, death in the family, etc.) and the stress related to that event can result in a weakened immune system, allowing the cancer to progress from pre-cancerous (in situ) to one of the stages of cancer, depending on when it is first diagnosed.

Thus, one of the focuses of the holistic approach to cancer treatment is to treat the cause as well as the existing cancer (i.e. reduce stress, enhance physical strength, and improve spiritual well being) which is commonly referred to as mind/body/spirit therapy.

Many cancer survivors attribute this emphasis on treating the whole person, rather than just the cancer, as being the critical factor in their recovery.  The story of Carol O’Toole, a breast cancer survivor is a good example and she describes her journey in her book shown at the following link:

There are a number of medical centers that use this holistic approach to cancer treatment.  Several of them are shown at the links below:

Another aspect of holistic medicine is a cancer treatment plan that includes the following components:  detoxification, cleansing, immune system enhancement, and mental reinforcement.  This approach to cancer treatment is quite common at the medical centers in Mexico, but is also available at other medical centers.  A list and description of the clinics in Mexico, some of which use detoxification, are shown at the link below:

For an independent review of these Mexican clinics, you can review a report from the Townsend Letter at the link below:

There are many articles written on the use of detoxification as a component of cancer treatment.  Several articles are shown at the links below:

There are many products available for Immune System enhance, but the product shown at the link below has reportedly undergone extensive testing for its’ efficacy in this regard:
